Dubai Hosts the 7th African Emirati Business Summit
Dubai recently hosted the seventh African Emirati Business Summit at the Carlton Tower Hotel in Dubai. The event was honored by Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaimah.
Also present was Mr. Ndo Kwaku Ngoitia Henri Joel, Coordinator of the Agricultural Emergency Project for the Government of Côte d’Ivoire. Linda Benallal, the conference organizer and owner of LBM Project Management Services in Dubai, attended in collaboration with the Star Group International, Côte d’Ivoire.
The summit aimed to foster mutual investments between the UAE and African countries. It welcomed participation from nations including Morocco, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, China, India, France, and Pakistan.
UAE-Africa
The UAE-Africa Business Summit addressed key topics to strengthen economic and trade ties between Africa and the UAE. These included:
- Trade and Regional Integration: Efforts centered on boosting trade, investment facilitation, and connecting Africa to global supply chains through Special Economic Zones.
- Investment Opportunities: Discussions focused on strategic investments in vital minerals, renewable energy projects, and infrastructure to drive Africa’s growth
- Digital Economy and Technology: Sessions explored enhancing Africa’s digital economy, fostering innovation, and strengthening digital banking systems for economic progress.
- Agribusiness and Sustainability: The summit emphasized agribusiness partnerships and sustainable agricultural practices to tackle food security challenges.
- Energy Sector: Panels highlighted Africa’s energy future, focusing on renewable energy and expanding access in underserved regions.
- Women’s Empowerment: Special sessions underscored women’s economic empowerment as a catalyst for trade and impactful business relations.
These themes highlight a shared commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, and mutual benefits in UAE-Africa partnerships.
