Farmcrowdy is Nigeria’s first digital platform that empowers rural farmers by providing them with improved seeds, farm inputs and provides a market for the sale of their produce.

Farmcrowdy was founded by Onyeka Akumah. The company was first established in November 2016, and has empowered thousands of small scale farmers across many states in Nigeria to cultivate 16000+ acres of farmland, processing 2.5 million chickens and 40 fit-to-slaughter cows daily.

At it’s core, Farmcrowdy operates a digital platform that bridges the gap between farmers and sponsors, allowing sponsors to invest in various agricultural ventures. By providing farmers with with financial resources, training and technological assistance, Farmcrowdy aims to empower small scale farmers and enhance their livelihoods. The startup is also committed to contributing to Nigeria’s food security by promoting efficient agricultural practices and increasing crop and livestock yields.
